Nitish Orders Speedy Cleanup of Drainage System - Patna Daily(DrainageNews)

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, on Friday, visited several areas in Patna and inspected the drainage system ahead of the impending Monsoon season and instructed the concerned officials to ensure all the drains were flushed out and repair works completed before the state gets hit by rain flooding the antiquated underground drainage causing water-logging each year. Accompanied by Urban Development Minister Aswhini Kumar Choubey, Chief Secretary A. Chowdhary, and other senior officials, Kumar visited Rajapur bridge, Bhootnath Road in Kankarbagh, and water treatment center and expressed his disappointment with the progress saying if the works were not completed within a month, people of Patna were headed for an yet another miserable Monsoon. The Chief Minister also met with several citizens along his trip and listened to water-logging problems in their areas. read me
