Topic: DrainageNews - Residents can talk stormwater, sewage issues with governments - Gainesville Times

City officials from Oakwood, Flowery Branch, Gainesville and Hall County will converge on Oakwood City Hall today to field public input on the management of the area's stormwater drainage systems. David Dockery, assistant public works director for Gainesville, said that he also invites suggestions for improvement upon the current Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System. The current system has one pipe for sanitary sewage and a separate pipe for rainwater, and the rainwater collected from storm drains is expelled into Lake Lanier. Although local drainage systems are similarly designed, Oakwood and Flowery Branch's pipe systems are separate from Gainesville's system. read me
