Water woes: Bemina Coordination takes dig at PHE officers - GreaterKashmir.com (press release)- About: DrainageNews

Taking a dig at the officers of PHE department, a spokesman of the Committee alleged that they (officers concerned) were unconcerned to this human problem despite assurances by the chief engineer that the steps would be taken to restore uninterrupted water supply to the area. The Committee has appealed to the minister for public health engineer department Qazi Afzal to visit the area and see for himself the extent of water scarcity and hardships being faced by the people. Meanwhile, the Committee alleged that there was not a trace of drainage system in the colonies like Iqbalabad, Usmanabad, Shams-u-abad, Towheedabad, Shahabad, Sir Syedabad, Abu Bakr, bypass, Bemina. The Committee has appealed to the minister for housing and urban development as to where have gone Rs 17 Crore already sanctioned under ADP slum.
