University of calicut

The University of Calicut, was used in to being on 23/07/1968, by crucial No. 5/68 of the Govt. The goals of the University are to develop qualitatively the college and research study in all spheres of human improvement with distinct principle to Technical and technological sectors and to promote art and culture particular to Kerala, to increase the educationally in reverse people and to accelerate the treatment of human improvement in reasonably lower acknowledged locations of northern Kerala, Now, after the center of Kannur University in 1995, the jurisdiction of Calicut University is limited to the districts of Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad (aside from the Taluk of Mananthavady). The main school of the University is Thenhipalam (Malappuram Dt), 23 KM.

The Administrative work environment, the Pareeksha bhavan, the school of correspondence course, the outdoors and indoor arena, the University press, Publication Dept., the University Engineering Dept., Hostels for males and girls, working women’s hostel, physical fitness instructors hostel and quarters for workers are discovered here. A well all set library, an Audio Visual Research Center, Computer Center, Science and Instrumentation Center, Guest House and a workshop Complex, School of Health Sciences, University Health Center, Super market, Canteen, State Bank of Travancore with ATM, Post Office, Telephone exchange are similarly running in the school. The Calicut university institute of engineering and improvement (CUIET) is put at the university school, 400 M. far from Kohinoor in NH-17. There are more than 150 colleges associated to the University including Teacher Training Colleges, Engineering colleges, Medical colleges, Law colleges, IHRD Centers, Fine arts college, Oriental Title Colleges and College for Dentistry, Nursing and Homeopathy.
